Director of tennis Operations - Dave Brydges

Coach Dave's previous roles include Head Tennis Coach Harbord Collegiate (Toronto), High School South Region & City Championship Umpire (Toronto).  Ladies Varsity Head Coach (University of Waterloo), Provincial/ Territorial Head Coach for Team Northwest Territories (Yellowknife), Head Pro at world famous Westmount G&C Club (Kitchener), NCTA High performance Tennis Pro at "The Landings Club" (Kingston), Club Pro at Northfield (Waterloo), Professor of "Intro to Tennis" within Kinesiology program (Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo) and Director of tennistournamentstoronto.com (Toronto). 


His focus is now dedicated on program development for adults aged 24-54; ranging in NTRP 1.0 to 5.0.  He is a fantastic communicator, and is always excited to spend time on court with his students. Fluent in German and English.

Coach - Samuel Yoo

 Meet Coach Samuel Yoo, an esteemed tennis instructor and former OUA athlete, whose remarkable journey has shaped him into a true authority in the sport. With a Tennis Canada Certification under his belt, earned even amidst the challenging conditions of a Sudbury snowstorm, Coach Samuel's dedication to his craft is evident. Drawing from his experience as a competitive player, including training at the renowned DNP Tennis Club in Tokyo and participating in the prestigious KUSA tennis tournament in Japan, he possesses a profound understanding of the physical and mental demands of the game. Coach Samuel's coaching style revolves around instilling the fundamental principles of tennis while nurturing strategic thinking on the court, with a specific focus on doubles strategy. Building strong connections with his students, he tailors his approach to help them achieve their individual goals. Join Coach Samuel Yoo and embark on a transformative tennis journey guided by a coach who is deeply passionate about empowering players of all levels to reach their fullest potential. Coach Samuel communicates proficiently in English.

Coach - Hesham Wahby

 Coach Hesham has started playing tennis at age of 8 at Cairo International stadium in Cairo, Egypt.  His competitive spirit led him to winning renowned Division 1 national level tournaments paving the way for his Zohour Club to reaching the Egyptian Premier league! Coach Hesham then became a dedicated Tennis Coach in 2016 where he shares his passion for developing mainly teens and young adult tennis players.  He got his start in Coaching at Katemeya Heights Tennis Club as an Assistant Coach. He spent 2 years at Cairo International Stadium as a Tennis Coach and 1 year at October University training high performance. In 2020, he received certification from ITF. In 2021 he came to Canada and found his home at BreakPoint Tennis. In 2025, Coach Hesh became a senior advisor on PAC (Progressive Adult Coaches) & became a certified TPR (Tennis Professional Registration) thru Tennis Canada. Coach Hesh communicates proficiently in English and Arabic.

Coach - Niki Naderi

Coach Niki began her teaching career in 2022 as an Assistant Tennis Coach at “Mani Club” in Mazandaran before completing her TPA (Tennis Professional Association) in 2022 and guided many students at all levels at Toronto’s Mayfair Club and Oshawa’s ICM Tennis Club.  She found her home with BreakPoint in 2023.


She is an excellent "match play" style coach (learn while playing actual games). With a relaxed and friendly teaching style she works well with players new to tennis. Her classes are upbeat, informative, and always focus on fostering a love for the game. For the competitive player, Niki has another gear to fine tune upper levels.


In July 2025, Coach Niki earned her Roving Umpire certification from Tennis Canada which reflects her commitment to fair play and professionalism.


Niki earned a top 5 coach honours in 2024 https://www.thebesttoronto.com/top-tennis-coaches-toronto/ Her singles playing achievements include MVP honours at York Mills, gold in regionals (TDSB) , silver in City finals (TDSB), and OFSAA semi-finalist. She’s collected hardware in doubles too; with Gold in varsity regionals (TDSB). Niki is fluent in English & Farsi.

Coach - Meharab Mostafa

 Hi, My name is Meharab. I have been teaching and playing tennis for over 10 years. My expertise in developing tennis players in singles and doubles and implementing tennis programs for players of all ages and skill levels. I like to create a safe, positive, and engaging environment where tennis players can have fun, thrive and improve on the court. 


At Philpott he worked on making tennis a fun sport and made sure to provide all the skills needed to foster a lifelong love for tennis. At Scarborough Bluffs Tennis Club he delievered targeted programming. Coordinated adult clinics tailored for recreational players alongside high-performance  junior clinics, successfully balancing high-energy tactical group drills with individual player development.


He is fluent in English & Bengali.

Coach - Mihail Delev

Coach Mike is a certified Tennis Canada Club Pro 1 and has been an active member of the TPA (Tennis Professionals Association). With over 12 years coaching experience, he has trained students at all levels. Coach Mike joined Tennis Lessons Toronto at inception; where he trained students for Tennis Tournament Toronto events. He can also be seen at OTA and Provincial Champion events where he trains his daughter for the junior circuit. His passion for tennis extends beyond the court; as he is an experienced stringer and has an incredible knowledge base for equipment. Coach Mike holds a Bachelor of Sport & Physical Education from the National Sport Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

Coach - Omar Wahby

Coach Omar is a tennis player, experienced coach, and trained physiotherapist with over 15 years of experience on the court. As a coach, he has developed and implemented tennis lesson plans for players of all ages and skill levels, always with a focus on fun and engaging techniques. He has a strong knowledge of tennis strategies and techniques, which he uses to provide valuable feedback to players to help students improve their performance.

Working with individual players as well as groups, including coaching tennis teams , he has a deep understanding of the game. He is a strong communicator and is known for providing clear and effective feedback to players.  With a passion for the game of tennis and a commitment to helping players improve their skills and achieve their goals, he is dedicated to helping players of all levels reach their full potential on the court. Coach Omar communicates proficiently in English and Arabic.

COACH - KEIRA Tilelis

Keira Tilelis is currently a student-athlete at Queen's University, where she competes on the varsity tennis team. Her team recently earned second place at the OUA Championships, and she has competed at the OUA level for the past two seasons.


Keira played competitively through the OTA circuit from U10–U18 before continuing into Women’s Open tournaments. Throughout her junior career, she travelled to Florida to compete in UTR events, earned second place at a CASELY tournament, and qualified for the OFSAA High School Open Championships three consecutive years.


Beyond competing, Keira is passionate about helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. She participated in the Inspire Through Sport mentorship program, which focused on encouraging girls to stay involved in sports, and through the program, she earned her TPA Certified Coaching Licence. She is excited to bring her competitive experience, leadership, and passion for tennis to BreakPoint Club while helping players develop confidence, skills, and a love for the game.

Outside of tennis, Keira is also fluent in Greek.

COACH - Luis Morales

Coach Luis started playing tennis at 12 and has spent years honing his skills. He taught high school in Chile for 13 years and became a certified coach with FETECH and the ITF in 2021. 


Since 2018, he’s coached beginners to advanced players of all ages, promoting a positive attitude both on and off the court.


He played in the Temuco Challenger Pre-Qualifiers (2022–2023), served as an umpire in 2024, and was a Line Judge in the main draw of the tournament.

Coach - Ethan Hunter

With a lifelong passion for tennis and years of competitive experience, Coach Ethan brings energy, strategy, and a fun-first coaching style to every lesson. Ethan has been coaching both youth and adult tennis players for over 10 years, helping athletes of all skill levels build confidence, improve technique, and enjoy the game.


As the former Co-Captain of the University of Guelph Tennis Team, Ethan combines high-level competitive experience with a strong understanding of the fundamentals. He has competed in tournaments across the Province and North America since he was a junior-level player.


Coach Ethan believes tennis should always be enjoyable first and foremost, while also emphasizing the importance of detailed technical development and smart match strategy. Whether working with beginners learning the fundamentals or experienced players looking to sharpen their competitive edge, Ethan creates an engaging environment that helps players grow their skills and love for the sport.

Coach - Sara Soufdoost

Coach Sara Soufdoost is a passionate tennis coach with over 10 years of experience working with beginner and intermediate players. 


Certified by the Iran Tennis Federation, she specializes in fundamentals, footwork, serving technique, and creating a positive learning environment. Sara is known for her patient and supportive coaching style, helping players build confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy the game. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and First Aid & CPR/AED certification in Toronto, and she communicates fluently in both English and Persian (Farsi)

Coach - EHSAN BAGHERI

 Ehsan is a highly motivated professional with over a decade of experience in tennis coaching. He holds certifications from the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) for Adults, 11 to 17, and Junior Tennis, and has additional qualifications including Respect in Sport and Safe Sport Complaint. These credentials highlight his commitment to providing a safe and effective coaching environment.


Ehsan began his coaching career as Head Coach at Manzariye Tennis Club in Tehran, where he designed and implemented personalized training programs for players of all skill levels. His expertise spans technical and tactical skill development, physical conditioning, and mental resilience. Ehsan’s innovative coaching methods and collaborative approach have significantly improved the academy’s performance standards and fostered a strong passion for tennis among his students.


With a focus on building player confidence and enhancing their game, Ehsan is dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential, from beginners to advanced competitors. Coach Ehsan speaks Persian as his main language and has a basic proficiency in English.

Coach - AlI BOYAR

Coach Ali is a certified Tennis Canada TPA/ International Tennis Federation pro with over 13 years of experience. Students of BreakPoint have loved his "high volume” ball striking drills. 


From 2011 to 2023, he taught Phys Ed in Turkey; while coaching varsity tennis teams & running his own "Boyer Tennis Academy”. Since 2023, Coach Ali has excelled as a coach within tennis programs at City of Toronto, North York YMCA & of course BreakPoint!


Fluent in English, Turkish, and Arabic, Coach Ali easily connects with students from diverse backgrounds.

Coach - SURESH KUMAR

Suresh Guna is an elite tennis professional with over seven years of competitive playing and coaching experience. Dedicated to developing players of all ages and skill levels. Having a deep passion for the sport with a highly structured, athlete-centered approach to training.As a certified professional with the Tennis Professionals Association (TPA), the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC), and the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) with Making Ethical Decisions (MED) designation, Coach Suresh upholds the highest standards of safety, ethics, and technical excellence in Canadian sport. This extensive training ensures that every student receives evidence-based coaching designed to maximize physical performance while fostering mental resilience and sportsmanship.


Throughout seven years on the court, Coach Suresh has successfully guided recreational players looking to improve their fundamentals, as well as competitive athletes aiming for tournament success. By leveraging personal competitive playing experience with unique, real-world strategic insights into match play, court awareness, and tactical execution. Whether conducting private lessons, group clinics, or high-performance junior development camps, committed to helping every player reach their full potential and build a lifelong love for tennis.


He is fluent in Engish and Tamil.

COACH - Mahdiar Rezazadeh

Mahdiar is a Certified Tennis Instructor and a member of the Tennis Professionals Association (TPA) with over 10 years of playing experience. Fluent in both English and Persian, he enjoys working with players of all ages and skill levels, helping them build strong fundamentals, improve their technique, and gain confidence on the court. His coaching style is patient, positive, and encouraging, creating a welcoming environment where every player feels supported, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential while enjoying the learning process.


Mahdiar believes that every player develops at their own pace and tailors each lesson to individual goals, abilities, and learning styles. His sessions focus on building proper technique, footwork, consistency, movement, and court awareness through structured, engaging, and enjoyable practices. Whether coaching beginners taking their first steps in tennis or recreational players looking to improve their overall game, he is committed to making every lesson productive and rewarding. His goal is not only to help players develop their skills but also to build confidence, encourage sportsmanship, and inspire a lifelong passion for the game of tennis.

COACH - ZARA BELLAVIA

 My name is Zara Bellavia. I have been coaching tennis for over 10 years and have worked with athletes of various ages and skill levels. Throughout my coaching career, I have developed a passion for helping players improve their skills and confidence on the court. I especially enjoy working with children and introducing them to the game of tennis. One of the most rewarding parts of coaching is seeing young players recognize their progress and achieve their goals. I strive to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for every athlete. In addition to coaching, 


I have been a teacher with the Toronto District School Board for the past four years. My experience in education has strengthened my ability to connect with students and adapt my teaching to meet individual needs. I love working with children because they bring energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity to every lesson. They make me laugh, keep me motivated, and often teach me valuable lessons as well. My goal is to help every player develop a lifelong love of tennis while building confidence, resilience, and a growth mindset.

COACH - MELIKA SAHLANI

Coach Melika Sahlani is a Tennis Canada TPA certified coach with over five years of coaching experience working with both junior and adult players. She previously coached at Enghelab Sport Complex, Azadi Sport Complex, and the respected Moazebnia Tennis Academy in Tehran, Iran.


Melika is passionate about creating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where players can improve their skills, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for tennis. Her coaching style focuses on clear communication, player development, and making tennis enjoyable for players of all ages and skill levels. In addition to her Tennis Canada certification, she holds CPR & First Aid, Respect in Sport, and ITF coaching certifications. Coach Melika is fluent in both English and Persian and enjoys helping players achieve their individual goals while having fun on the court.

COACH - Arian ebrahimiyan

With 25 years of tennis experience and a record as a former Iranian National Champion across all age divisions, tennis is in his DNA. Arian has spent over a decade translating his competitive background into coaching, helping players transform from beginners into confident, national-level athletes.


His coaching philosophy combines technical precision with a focus on mental toughness and long-term development. Whether you are stepping onto the court for the first time or looking to sharpen your tactical edge, Arian is here to help you reach your next milestone. He is thrilled to join the Break Point team and can't wait to see you on the court!

Coach - Al Guity

Al’s passion for tennis has fueled his journey as both a player and coach, working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. Inspired by the philosophy of Bill Bowerman, Al believes that “If you have a body, you are an athlete.” With experience coaching private lessons, group classes, and competitive players, he tailors his training to help athletes reach their goals while fostering a love for the game. His journey includes training under ITF programs, sharpening his technical and strategic expertise.
Known for his supportive teaching style and dedication to player development, Coach Al is eager to help you elevate your game and unlock your full potential on the court. Fluent in English, French, and Persian.
In addition to his tennis achievements, Al is an accomplished endurance athlete. His experience in ultra-trail races brings valuable lessons in discipline and resilience to his coaching approach.

COACH - MARCO BRIAND

Marco is French and has been passionate about tennis since he picked up a racket at age seven. After training and competing for over a decade in France, he became a certified coach, working with kids and teens aged 5 to 17. Now living in Canada, he’s eager to return to weekend coaching and share his love for the game. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, Marco brings experience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for the game.

COACH - Arsham Shafahi

Arsham is a TPA-certified tennis coach with over 16 years of competitive playing experience and 6 years of coaching experience. He competed at the provincial level, represented his schools in competition, earned multiple MVP recognitions, and titles in Canada and Iran. Arsham reached a 5.0 NTRP playing level before transitioning his passion for tennis into coaching and player development.


His coaching experience includes private lessons, group programs, camps, and academy-style training environments with organizations such as TAC Sports and Thornhill Park Tennis Club. He works with players of all ages and skill levels, focusing on technical development, high-performance training, movement, fitness, and mental preparation.


With additional experience in soccer coaching and personal training, Arsham brings a well-rounded athletic approach to his lessons. Certified in First Aid & CPR, Safe Sport, and Respect in Sport, he is dedicated to helping players build confidence, improve their game, and enjoy a lifelong connection with tennis. He is fluent in both English & Farsi.

Coach - Shivya Sachdeva

 We’re thrilled to have Coach Shivya join BreakPoint Tennis Club for the 2025 outdoor season! A former national-level tennis player from India, Shivya brings over a decade of competitive experience, including a gold medal at the All India University Games and participation in the World University Games training camp.

Shivya’s coaching style is interactive, tactical, and highly adaptable. She has experience coaching a wide range of age groups—from children and young adults to seniors—and creates a fun yet focused learning environment for every player. Known for her friendly and approachable nature, Shivya uses the NTRP classification system to assess skill levels and tailors her sessions accordingly, ensuring players are challenged in ways that support both growth and enjoyment. Her lessons often include engaging drills that emphasize movement, consistency, and strategic play.

Fluent in English and Hindi, Coach Shivya connects easily with players of all backgrounds, bringing both passion and professionalism to every session she leads.

Coach - SAM khani

  Coach Sam is one of Toronto’s fastest-rising tennis instructors, recognized for his passion to create BreakPoint challenger winners. With 9 years of experience as a competitive player and certification through Tennis Canada (TPA/OTA), he specializes in technique communications.

Prior to obtaining his Canadian Coach designation, He spent 3 years at at at OPT Club (Esteghlal) as a coach shadow, where he supported development programs at a red clay tennis academy. Sam’s sessions emphasize footwork, consistency, and strategic play — all delivered in a motivating and supportive environment.

Coach Sam is a certified GPTCA C-Level Coach, specializing in competitive player development and high-performance training. 

His sessions book up quickly, especially with rookie & beginner classses— so reserve your spot early if you find them online.  He is fluent in both English and Persian (Farsi).

Coach - SOROUSH SALIMI

Soroush brings over 12 years of playing experience to the court. A former member of both the Iranian Provincial and National Tennis Teams, he has competed at a high level internationally. His achievements include winning the ATF (Asian Tennis Federation) Under-18 Men’s Doubles Championship, earning an ATF ranking of 63 in 2017, and finishing as the ROPSSAA Ontario Men’s Singles Runner-Up.


As a TPA (Tennis Professionals Association of Canada) and PAC Certified Coach, Soroush has over four years of coaching experience at leading tennis facilities across Toronto, including the City of Toronto, Xanadu Racquet Club, and Eglinton Flats. He has coached and mentored hundreds of players of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to competitive athletes.


Known for his energetic, patient, and supportive coaching style, Soroush specializes in helping players build strong technical fundamentals, improve match confidence, and enjoy the learning process. Whether your goal is to learn the game, compete in tournaments, or simply play for fun, his engaging and personalized lessons are designed to help every player reach their full potential.


Soroush is fluent in both English and Farsi, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for a diverse range of players.

COACH - RAMMY ODEYEMI

Rammy is a passioniate Tennis Professional with over 10 years of coaching experience, specializing in player development for all ages and skill levels. Proven success in designing customized training programs and fostering competitive environments to enhance performance and sportsmanship.

COACH - Keith Clarke

 Coach Keith has been playing tennis for over 20 years and has been a member of Wychwood Tennis Club for 16 years. He's been coaching for 14 years and is Progressive Tennis Certified with TPA-OTA. He teaches players of all ages and skill levels, from absolute rookies to advanced (1.0–4.5 rating). 


Coach Keith especially enjoys working with absolute beginners, helping them build confidence and develop a love for the game. Coach Keith speaks English and is known for being patient and encouraging with all his students 

Coach - Yarmik Bhatia

Coach Yarmik is a certified tennis coach through Tennis Canada and USPTR, with international coaching experience across India, Europe, and Canada. He has worked with players of all levels, including training junior ITF players and competitive athletes, while also helping beginner and intermediate players build strong fundamentals. His experience includes both high‑performance training environments and structured group coaching programs.


Coach Yarmik enjoys creating engaging sessions for recreational players by designing game‑based drills that improve consistency, confidence, and match play. He brings a positive and energetic presence on court and focuses on helping players improve while enjoying the game. His coaching style combines technical development with fun, competitive situations suited for players of all levels.

Ambassador - Davin Solek

"Feeling nervous about setting foot on court? Confused with all the "class options"?  Don’t know what a challenger is? Meet Davin Solek, BreakPoint Ambassador - who is happy to chat with you through WhatsApp & is often able to meet up with you at the tennis court before your first session. 


Davin has an extensive background in tennis at BreakPoint and also at O’Connor Hills, and Eglinton Flats Winter tennis club. When not playing he enjoys Public Speaking and is huge on sauna/cold plunges.

Ambassador - Yas Fakhr

Not everyone will surge in NTRP ranking as quickly as Yas. Her journey consisted of taking classes & challengers; and competing in challengers & tournaments.  Yas is not only an excellent Ambassador for BreakPoint she is rather a superb ambassador for tennis in general.


Yas has collected tournament titles and has played all over Toronto.  She has a creative flair & designed the BreakPoint logo.  Her current  NTRP ranking is 3.0. 

Ambassador - Yoshi Hayasaka

Yoshihiro Hayasaka moved to Toronto from Japan and has become an active member of the local tennis community. He enjoys both singles and doubles and regularly plays through his club and BreakPoint to find more opportunities for friendly and competitive matches. Aidan moved to Toronto from Melbourne Australia in 2025, and rediscovered tennis through Breakpoint having played competitive tennis as a junior. He enjoys meeting new people, hitting as many times a week as he can and helping to spread the love of tennis. He is just starting to enter his first NRTP 4.0 rated events, having started at 2.5 earlier in the year.
