Director of tennis Operations - Dave Brydges

Coach Dave's current roles include Tennis Coach of the boys & girls varsity tennis team at Harbord Collegiate and director of Tennis Operations and coach at BreakPoint.  His previous highlights before Break Point Club include: OUAA Head Coach (University of Waterloo), Western Canada Games Head Coach for team NWT - Provincial/ Territorial Head Coach for NWT based in Yellowknife, Head Pro at world famous Westmount G&C Club for 3 years, High performance junior trainer for NCTA in Kingston, Club Pro at Northfield for 6 years (Waterloo), Professor of "Intro to Tennis" within Kinesiology program at Wilfrid Laurier University and Director of tennistournamentstoronto.com.  He is a fantastic communicator and is always excited to spend time on court with his students. Fluent in German & English.

Coach - Samuel Yoo

 Meet Coach Samuel Yoo, an esteemed tennis instructor and former OUA athlete, whose remarkable journey has shaped him into a true authority in the sport. With a Tennis Canada Certification under his belt, earned even amidst the challenging conditions of a Sudbury snowstorm, Coach Samuel's dedication to his craft is evident. Drawing from his experience as a competitive player, including training at the renowned DNP Tennis Club in Tokyo and participating in the prestigious KUSA tennis tournament in Japan, he possesses a profound understanding of the physical and mental demands of the game. Coach Samuel's coaching style revolves around instilling the fundamental principles of tennis while nurturing strategic thinking on the court, with a specific focus on doubles strategy. Building strong connections with his students, he tailors his approach to help them achieve their individual goals. Join Coach Samuel Yoo and embark on a transformative tennis journey guided by a coach who is deeply passionate about empowering players of all levels to reach their fullest potential. Coach Samuel communicates proficiently in English.

Coach - Max Silverstein

Coach Max has been passionate about tennis from his youth, training at high performance tennis academies such as ACE tennis Academy and Toronto Tennis City.  Highlights of Max’s playing career include reaching the provincial semi-finals, winning multiple Badminton and Racquet Club championships, and reaching the OFSAA championships with Upper Canada College.

Max achieved his instructors certification in 2014, gaining valuable coaching experience at clubs such as the Boulevard Club and the Israel Tennis Centre in Ramat Hasharon where he conducted both private and group lessons. After completing his Club Professional 1 certification in 2018, Max coached at both Nike Sports Camps Canada and Branksome Hall Summer Camps tailoring the daily activities for each. 

After 8 years of remarkable coaching experience, Coach Max joined BreakPoint Tennis Club in downtown Toronto; where he focuses on delivering a tailored approach to reach his students consisting of primarily young adults - developing their way from pure beginner levels through to advanced competition. Coach Max communicates proficiently in English.

Coach - Hesham Wahby

 Coach Hesham has started playing tennis at age of 8 at Cairo International stadium in Cairo, Egypt.  His competitive spirit led him to winning renowned Division 1 national level tournaments paving the way for his Zohour Club to reaching the Egyptian Premier league! Coach Hesham then became a dedicated Tennis Coach in 2016 where he shares his passion for developing mainly teens and young adult tennis players.  He got his start in Coaching at Katemeya Heights Tennis Club as an Assistant Coach. He spent 2 years at Cairo International Stadium as a Tennis Coach and 1 year at October University training high performance. In 2020, he received certification from ITF. In 2021 he came to Canada and found his home at BreakPoint Tennis where he continues to work with Coach Dave on his coaching skills while training students on all aspects of the game. Coach Hesh communicates proficiently in English and Arabic.

Coach - Niki Naderi

 Coach Niki began her teaching career in 2022 as an Assistant Tennis Coach at “Mani Club” in Mazandaran before completing her TPA (Tennis Professional Association) in 2022 and guided many students at all levels at Toronto’s Mayfair Club and Oshawa’s ICM Tennis Club.  She found her home with BreakPoint in 2023.


She is an excellent "match play" style coach (learn while playing actual games). With a relaxed and friendly teaching style she works well with players new to tennis. Her classes are upbeat, informative, and always focus on fostering a love for the game. For the competitive player, Niki has another gear to fine tune upper levels.


Niki earned a top 5 coach honours in 2024 https://www.thebesttoronto.com/top-tennis-coaches-toronto/ Her singles playing achievements include MVP honours at York Mills, gold in regionals (TDSB) , silver in City finals (TDSB), and OFSAA semi-finalist. She’s collected hardware in doubles too; with Gold in varsity regionals (TDSB). Niki is fluent in English & Farsi. 

Coach - Meharab Mostafa

 Hi, My name is Meharab. I have been teaching and playing tennis for over 10 years. My expertise in developing tennis players in singles and doubles and implementing tennis programs for players of all ages and skill levels. I like to create a safe, positive, and engaging environment where tennis players can have fun, thrive and improve on the court. 

Coach - Mihail Delev

Coach Mike is a certified Tennis Canada Club Pro 1 and has been an active member of the TPA (Tennis Professionals Association). With over 12 years coaching experience, he has trained students at all levels. Coach Mike joined Tennis Lessons Toronto at inception; where he trained students for Tennis Tournament Toronto events. He can also be seen at OTA and Provincial Champion events where he trains his daughter for the junior circuit. His passion for tennis extends beyond the court; as he is an experienced stringer and has an incredible knowledge base for equipment. Coach Mike holds a Bachelor of Sport & Physical Education from the National Sport Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

Coach - Omar Wahby

Coach Omar is a tennis player, experienced coach, and trained physiotherapist with over 15 years of experience on the court. As a coach, he has developed and implemented tennis lesson plans for players of all ages and skill levels, always with a focus on fun and engaging techniques. He has a strong knowledge of tennis strategies and techniques, which he uses to provide valuable feedback to players to help students improve their performance.

Working with individual players as well as groups, including coaching tennis teams , he has a deep understanding of the game. He is a strong communicator and is known for providing clear and effective feedback to players.  With a passion for the game of tennis and a commitment to helping players improve their skills and achieve their goals, he is dedicated to helping players of all levels reach their full potential on the court. Coach Omar communicates proficiently in English and Arabic.

Coach - Clintin Kruger

 Clintin's passion for tennis ignited as a teenager while competing in the "International Tennis Federation" circuit of professional tournaments. He is a former coach of  Holy Rosary Catholic High School in South Africa and later thrived as a coach of over 200  students in Korea as an independent coach, before being offered to coach at the historic Jangchung Tennis Court in Seoul. Clintin is experienced in conducting private and group sessions in both Korean and English.  He specializes in rally classes, challengers, and match play classes. He is experienced at coaching on 60ft & 42 ft courts tennis courts, ideal for NTRP 1.0 - 2.0. His enthusiasm for coaching tennis, combined with his effective communication skills and friendly demeanor make for the perfect tennis experience.  

Coach - EHSAN BAGHERI

 Ehsan is a highly motivated professional with over a decade of experience in tennis coaching. He holds certifications from the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) for Adults, 11 to 17, and Junior Tennis, and has additional qualifications including Respect in Sport and Safe Sport Complaint. These credentials highlight his commitment to providing a safe and effective coaching environment.


Ehsan began his coaching career as Head Coach at Manzariye Tennis Club in Tehran, where he designed and implemented personalized training programs for players of all skill levels. His expertise spans technical and tactical skill development, physical conditioning, and mental resilience. Ehsan’s innovative coaching methods and collaborative approach have significantly improved the academy’s performance standards and fostered a strong passion for tennis among his students.


With a focus on building player confidence and enhancing their game, Ehsan is dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential, from beginners to advanced competitors. Coach Ehsan speaks Persian as his main language and has a basic proficiency in English.

COACH - ALANNAH HARRINGTON

Coach Alannah competed through both the junior and senior competitive national circuit in Ireland for over 10 years. She is a qualified Level 1 Tennis Ireland coach, and has delivered private and group sessions to players from rookie to pro (Irish National high performance squads). 


Alannah is currently studying for a BSc in Physiotherapy at University College Dublin, where she integrates her academic knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and injury prevention into her coaching philosophy. She is captain of the UCD Varsity Tennis Team and competes at Class 1 level in the DLTC league.


Lessons available in both English and Irish dialect.

Coach - JAMAL HINDS

Coach Jamal has 7 yrs of playing & 6+ years of coaching experience. He is a former #1 provincial ranked player in Alberta.  6+years of coaching experience


From a pure coaching standpoint, he has TPA certification from Tennis Canada and started out grooming the next generation of players as Lead Coach in the "Edmonton Junior Tennis Society".  From Edmonton he moved to Ontario with his most recent role right here in Toronto at the "Henry Farm Tennis Club" where he developed a passion for coaching young adult in pursuit of learning the game.

Coach - Willem SLOT

 With 7+ years of tennis experience and BreakPoint's expert in Junior Tennis, Willem is an experienced tennis player and fantastic coach. Willem plays line 1 (highest level) on the Harbord ci varsity tennis team and is top ranked member within his division at the Davisville Club. He has been an extremely active member in the tennis community and knows his way around all aspects of the game. His innate ability to teach the rudimentary basics while still fostering much love towards the game makes him the perfect teacher.

Off the court, he is a dedicated volunteer with experience in childcare and leadership. He led children's camp activities for the Bata shoe museum and helped mentor his younger teammates at his club. Willem is fluent in English and French.

Coach - Al Guity

Al’s passion for tennis has fueled his journey as both a player and coach, working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. Inspired by the philosophy of Bill Bowerman, Al believes that “If you have a body, you are an athlete.” With experience coaching private lessons, group classes, and competitive players, he tailors his training to help athletes reach their goals while fostering a love for the game. His journey includes training under ITF programs, sharpening his technical and strategic expertise.
Known for his supportive teaching style and dedication to player development, Coach Al is eager to help you elevate your game and unlock your full potential on the court. Fluent in English, French, and Persian.
In addition to his tennis achievements, Al is an accomplished endurance athlete. His experience in ultra-trail races brings valuable lessons in discipline and resilience to his coaching approach.

Coach - AlI BOYAR

Coach Ali holds a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Sports and has a strong background as both a tennis player and coach. With 13 years of coaching experience, he has trained successful athletes through his own Boyar Tennis Academy, founded in 2011 in Turkey. He also spent eight years teaching physical education in schools, establishing championship-winning tennis teams. Coach Ali has given group and private lessons in Toronto and North York YMCA, using a game-based teaching approach to make learning fun for all ages. He actively participates in International Tennis Federation (ITF) seminars and camps to help athletes reach advanced levels. Fluent in English, Turkish, and Arabic, he connects with students from diverse backgrounds. His ambitious and determined personality, combined with his engaging teaching style, makes tennis both enjoyable and rewarding.

Coach - Neel Thakker

It is with great pleasure to have Coach Neel return to Toronto for another outdoor season in 2025!  He's previously held coaching roles at Harbord ci Varsity Team, Davisville Tennis Club & Jam Sports; and is now on his 4th season with BreakPoint Tennis Club. He has coached over 2000 students and developed more than 500 tournament players. He is known for his easygoing yet highly effective coaching style.


Neels personal achievements include 2 National University Championships in India & a ranking inside the top 65 for the Canadian 5.0 division. He is a Tennis Canada certified coach, and is a senior advisor to PAC Tennis Association.  


COACH DAVE HIGHLY RECOMMENDS COACH NEEL if you are a young adult (with or without tennis experience) looking to become a tournament player. While he is an excellent social coach for students simply looking for exercize, his best feedback is from students who want to start enjoying competition to the fullest. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati languages.

Coach - MANNI ZHANG

Manni Zhang is a passionate tennis coach with a strong competitive background and international training experience. As a junior, she competed in both ATF (Asian Tennis Federation) and ITF (International Tennis Federation) tournaments, gaining valuable experience on the global circuit. She trained at the Niagara Academy of Tennis in Canada and the Johan Kriek Academy in Florida.


Manni continued her tennis journey at the collegiate level, playing NCAA Division II tennis at Thomas Jefferson University. Over the past year, she has been coaching at a  tennis club in Shanghai, working with students of all levels. Known for her approachable and encouraging coaching style, Manni is fluent in both English and Mandarin, making her an effective communicator and mentor for players from diverse backgrounds.

Coach - Shivya Sachdeva

 We’re thrilled to have Coach Shivya join BreakPoint Tennis Club for the 2025 outdoor season! A former national-level tennis player from India, Shivya brings over a decade of competitive experience, including a gold medal at the All India University Games and participation in the World University Games training camp.

Shivya’s coaching style is interactive, tactical, and highly adaptable. She has experience coaching a wide range of age groups—from children and young adults to seniors—and creates a fun yet focused learning environment for every player. Known for her friendly and approachable nature, Shivya uses the NTRP classification system to assess skill levels and tailors her sessions accordingly, ensuring players are challenged in ways that support both growth and enjoyment. Her lessons often include engaging drills that emphasize movement, consistency, and strategic play.

Fluent in English and Hindi, Coach Shivya connects easily with players of all backgrounds, bringing both passion and professionalism to every session she leads.

Coach - AVA LITTLE

 Ava grew up competing in high-performance in Oshawa & Whitby. She played for the Port Perry Tennis Club & Port Perry HS / Lawrence Park Collegiate teams. Ava won gold at regionals and City Championships, finishing in the top 10 in OFSAA. 


Her coaching career includes roles Matchpoint Tennis in Port Perry & TAC Sports. Her coaching style is energetic, patient, and clear. She is always focused on helping players feel confident and improve their game in a fun, encouraging environment.  Ava is currently a student at Dalhousie University, majoring in Law & Anthropology.

Coach - SAM khani

  Coach Sam is one of Toronto’s fastest-rising tennis instructors, recognized for his passion to create BreakPoint challenger winners. With 9 years of experience as a competitive player and certification through Tennis Canada (TPA/OTA), he specializes in technique communications.

Prior to obtaining his Canadian Coach designation, He spent 3 years at at at OPT Club (Esteghlal) as a coach shadow, where he supported development programs at a red clay tennis academy. Sam’s sessions emphasize footwork, consistency, and strategic play — all delivered in a motivating and supportive environment.

His sessions book up quickly, especially with rookie & beginner classses— so reserve your spot early if you find them online.  He is fluent in both English and Persian (Farsi).

ADMINISTRATOR - Roxanne Luces

 With a background in fitness, Roxanne is poised to provide invaluable assistance to players. Her dedication to excellence and meticulous attention to detail make her the perfect choice for arranging your ideal coach and organizing tennis tournaments and challenges. With her years of extensive experience in customer service and recent tenure in HR administration, you can rely on Roxanne for a seamless and rewarding tennis experience.

ADMINISTRATOR - JED BULLO

 Jed has a strong foundation in organization and experience with administrative assistance. Jed's background in customer service and HR administration ensures that tasks are handled efficiently and with precision. Whether managing schedules, handling communications or supporting the team, Jed is dedicated to making every process run smoothly and seamlessly.
